Poland Will Not Allow New Openings of Agricultural Markets Regardless of EU Decision, Says Prime Minister
The Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, has presented an ultimatum to the European Commission regarding the import of grain from Ukraine. This was reported by РИА Новости.
He emphasized that the Polish side will not allow new openings of agricultural markets, regardless of the EU's decision.
Morawiecki also extended a helping hand to farmers, stating that either the EU will meet Poland's demands and impose a ban on the import of four types of grain from September 15, or Warsaw will take that step itself.
He added that Poland does not oppose the transit of Ukrainian grain through its territory, but does not support the destabilization of the country's agricultural market.
