Guterres: "I Don't Have Much Hope for a Peaceful Resolution Soon"
The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has stated that he does not foresee a peaceful resolution to the regional conflict in Ukraine in the near future. He made this announcement during a press conference with journalists at the G20 summit held in New Delhi.
Guterres believes that the parties to the crisis have chosen to continue the conflict. It has become quite clear to him that tribute must be paid to those who are currently making every effort to bring an end to this "dramatic situation."
“I don’t have much hope for a peaceful resolution in the near future. I think both sides have decided to continue the conflict,” Guterres said.
