UN Comments on Attack on Russian Tanker in Kerch Strait
The UN calls on the parties to refrain from rhetoric and actions that could escalate the conflict. Farhan Haq, deputy spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, made this statement regarding the attack on the Russian tanker by Ukraine.
“We have seen reports about the incident. The UN cannot confirm these reports. We firmly reiterate our call to all relevant parties to refrain from any rhetoric or actions that could further escalate the conflict,” stated Haq.
