Putin Will Not Be Able to Wage War Against Ukraine for Long: Zelensky
Vladimir Putin will not be able to wage war against Ukraine for long. This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with Brazilian GloboNews.
In response to a journalist's question about whether Ukraine could face a fate similar to that of Syria, where Russia has been conducting a "proxy war" for almost 30 years, Zelensky said: “Putin will not live that long. The pace at which he is fighting us is not the same as how he fought in Syria. He will not last. He will die; this is completely understandable. But it won't even last 10 years. He is no longer the same figure.”
The Ukrainian leader also noted that currently all of the Russian army has been deployed against the Ukrainian Armed Forces, but its backbone has already been destroyed. Zelensky now believes that the Kremlin needs a pause to gather resources and political support “at least somewhere in the world.” He promised that Kyiv will not allow that.
“Ukraine will act. We will not allow them to become as strong as they were at the beginning of a large-scale war,” Zelensky stated.
