Spanish Embassy in Russia Expresses Support for Borrell's Statement in Armenian

The Spanish Embassy in Russia has expressed support for the statement made by EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, in Armenian on its Twitter page.

On July 26, Borrell announced that the Azerbaijani authorities must ensure security and free movement through the Lachin corridor in the shortest time possible and prevent any further escalation. He also noted that the Agdam route should not be considered an alternative to the opening of the Lachin corridor.

“Spain supports Josep Borrell's statement regarding the humanitarian situation related to the blockade of Lachin. The Azerbaijani authorities must quickly ensure security and free movement in the corridor and prevent any escalation of the crisis,” the statement read.

It is worth noting that there is no Spanish embassy in Armenia. Armenian citizens apply to the Spanish embassy operating in Moscow for visa services.
