Azerbaijani President's Assistant Responds to Alen Simonian

Azerbaijani President's Assistant and Head of the Foreign Policy Department of the Presidential Administration, Hikmet Hajiyev, has responded to the President of the Armenian Parliament, Alen Simonian. In a post on his Twitter microblog, he wrote: 'Instead of playing with words, the political leadership of Armenia should put an end to manipulations, misinformation, and the propaganda campaign misleading the international community regarding the Lachin corridor. The Aghdam-Khankendi (Aknar-Stepanakert) road is open to all types of traffic.'

Previously, Alen Simonian had stated that for months Azerbaijan had deceived the international community into believing that the Lachin corridor was open to the besieged Nagorno-Karabakh.
