Baku Concerned About Deepening Military Cooperation Between Armenia and India
Baku is concerned about the deepening military cooperation between Armenia and India. This was reported by Sputnik Azerbaijan.
It is noted that Hikmet Hajiyev, assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, discussed this issue during a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Azerbaijan, Sridharan Madhusudhanan.
Hajiyev also expressed concerns regarding images and videos circulating in the media related to the transfer of Indian-made weapon systems to Armenia via Iran.
Baku has called on New Delhi to reconsider its decision to supply Armenia with weapons. "At a time when Azerbaijan is negotiating a peace treaty with Armenia, the supply of weapons to this country by India opens the door to militarization and escalation of the situation, hindering the establishment of sustainable peace and security in the South Caucasus region," said Hajiyev.
