Aliyev: There Will Be No Peace If Armenia Does Not Abandon Its Territorial Claims
The signing phase of the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace treaty has already begun. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev announced this today, July 21, during a media forum held in the occupied city of Shushi.
He addressed the Armenia-Azerbaijan peace negotiations, the post-war situation in the region, and the upcoming timelines for signing the peace treaty. Aliyev confirmed that in the near future, the foreign ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan will meet in Moscow.
He also added that if Armenia refuses its territorial claims against Azerbaijan, it is possible to sign the peace treaty by the end of the year. However, he concluded by stating that if Armenia does not abandon its territorial claims, there will be no peace, and this is not a favorable scenario for the region.
