Aliyev: We Invited Them for the Second Time, They Refused Again; I Said There Will Be No Third Invitation Regarding Artsakh Negotiations
On July 21, in the framework of a media forum held in the occupied Shushi, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev addressed the Armenian-Azerbaijani peace negotiations, the post-war situation in the region, and the timeline for signing a peace agreement.
Aliyev specifically discussed the details of negotiations between Stepanakert and Baku. He stated, “I appointed a special representative who was supposed to establish connections with representatives of the Armenian population of Karabakh. He went there, and the first meeting took place. After that, we invited them to Baku to continue the dialogue. They consistently refused. We invited them for the second time; maybe we made a mistake, and they refused again. I said there will be no third invitation. They don't want to, they don't want to.”
