Klitschko on War and His Candidacy for Ukraine's Presidency
Former boxer and current mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, announced on July 14 that he is ready to run for the presidency in Ukraine's upcoming elections. He made this statement during an interview with the Ukrainian publication 'Left Bank.'
“If my knowledge, my energy, and my experience are needed to make Ukraine more European, I will give everything and I am already giving for that,” said the mayor of Kyiv.
He noted that he would be able to speak in more detail on this topic when the election campaign begins. Specifically, he believes that discussions about the presidential elections in Ukraine can only take place after the end of military operations.
