Swarm of Bees Attacks Two Children, Stinging Them 465 Times in Russia

A swarm of bees in Bashkortostan National Park, Russia, has attacked two boys, resulting in doctors removing 465 bee stings from their bodies, as reported by ria.ru.

The incident occurred in the village of Akhmerovo in the Ishim Bay region. The two brothers ventured into a forest clearing without parental supervision, where they were attacked by the bees, receiving numerous stings.

The younger brother, aged eight, managed to escape and reach home, where he reported that his older brother was still in the forest and unable to get out on his own. Their father and uncle went to the clearing, dispersed the bees, and rescued the boy.

“The boys were transported to the village's medical center, where they received first aid, after which they were sent by ambulance to the children’s hospital in Sterlitamak's intensive care unit, where about 465 stings were removed from various parts of their bodies – limbs, hands, feet, face, ears, and scalp,” the publication states.

They noted that the children's rescue was made possible by the professionalism of an experienced doctor. “The children are now under the supervision of our doctors, their condition is improving, and they are not in danger; treatment continues,” the hospital added.
