Free Medications to Be Provided for 6 Additional Diseases
The Ministry of Health of Armenia has announced that six new diseases have been added to the list for which necessary medications will be provided free of charge by the state starting in 2024.
The diseases included are:
- Juvenile idiopathic arthritis
- Primary immunodeficiency
- Kawasaki disease
- Neurological conditions related to acute polyradiculitis
- Patients requiring medications for premature infants
- Multiple sclerosis
As a result, approximately 486 beneficiaries, most of whom are children, will receive medications that have never been previously provided by the state. This initiative aims to prevent the progression of these diseases, reducing the rates of disability and mortality.
