Historical Achievement: Armenian Wrestling Team Secures First Place in Team Ranking

The Armenian Wrestling Federation has announced a historic achievement, stating:

“The Armenian youth team in freestyle wrestling has secured FIRST place in the team ranking at the European Championship. For the first time in the history of the Republic of Armenia, our wrestling selection wins in team competition. No age group team has reached this success (freestyle and Greco-Roman styles). The freestyle wrestlers traveled to the European Championship with 10 athletes, 9 of whom competed for medals. We have won 1 gold, 5 silver, and 2 bronze medals.”
