Azerbaijan's Defense Minister: 'Be Prepared to Prevent Provocations at Any Moment'

The Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Zakir Hasanov, has instructed his subordinates to be 'prepared to prevent possible provocations from the opponent without delay and decisively at any moment.'

According to the Turan agency, the head of Azerbaijan's military department made this statement during a meeting held today, which was attended by the command staff of the Armed Forces.

The meeting was convened to summarize the results of the recent command-staff exercises of the Azerbaijani army's ground forces. The drills took place in areas adjacent to Nagorno-Karabakh that came under Baku's control during the 44-day war in 2020.

Earlier, it was reported that on June 10, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces violated the ceasefire along the southwestern direction of the contact line, using small arms and mortars.
