4 Properties and 46 Million Dram to Be Seized from Former Head of Construction Committee
The Anti-Corruption Court accepted a new case regarding the confiscation of property of illegal origin on June 1, 2023. This information was provided by the Prosecutor's Office.
The Department for the Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin of the Prosecutor General's Office has submitted a request to the court to confiscate from V.V., the former head of the RA Construction Committee, and related individuals in favor of the Republic of Armenia: 1. 4 real estate properties located in Yerevan and Lori Province, or, if this is not possible, their average market value, which amounts to over 303 million 150 thousand drams; 2. 46 million 70 thousand drams, which cannot be justified by the person's legal income, has illegal origin, and cannot be identified or confiscated from the bona fide acquirer—based on the regulation set forth in Article 20, Part 4 of the RA Law on Confiscation of Property of Illegal Origin.
