The Tsitsernakaberd Avenue Sports Complex to be Transferred to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports
The government proposes to remove the territory allocated for the collective teams' sports center from the list of state properties subject to privatization and to transfer it to the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports (MoESCS).
According to MoESCS Minister Zhanna Andreasyan, the area should be used for the training of collective teams. "The sports complex provides great opportunities, and it has a dormitory building designed for around 60 people, as well as two gymnasiums, each covering 1600 m². One of the gymnasiums has a height of 9 meters, allowing for various sports training and competitions to be held there," she stated.
She also noted that a rehabilitation center will operate within the complex. Andreasyan further revealed that last year Armenia achieved a record number of medals, stating, "This pace requires new infrastructure. Currently, 12 sports schools and complexes are under construction and reconstruction," she added.
