Photos: The Fire at the Nubarashen Landfill Has Been Extinguished
The fire that broke out at the Nubarashen landfill was extinguished on May 27 at 13:23. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia.
It was noted that a duty was established at the site.
It is worth reminding that earlier, the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Armenia reported that they managed to localize the fire that started on May 18, but they were unable to extinguish it completely.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the firefighting operations were hindered by the peat-like masses formed in the area of the landfill, whose depth reaches up to 10 meters in certain sections.
Additionally, it was mentioned that approximately 1000 cubic meters of waste was burning in the Nubarashen area across 5 hectares with various hotspots.
