Saudi Arabia Confident Messi Won't Turn Down €300 Million Salary
Saudi Arabia is confident that the 35-year-old forward of Argentina's national team and France's champion PSG, Lionel Messi, will sign a contract with Al Hilal in June. This was reported by the Spanish publication Marca.
Saudi Arabia wants to see a confrontation between Al Nassr's 38-year-old Portuguese forward Cristiano Ronaldo and Messi, and they are close to making it happen.
It is known that Al Hilal will offer Messi an annual salary of €300 million, which would be hard for the veteran footballer to decline.
There are indications that Saudi clubs are interested in signing several players from European clubs, including Sergio Busquets, Jordi Alba, Nacho Fernandez, Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, and Alvaro Morata. However, the primary objective is to invite Messi.
It is worth noting that Messi's contract with PSG will expire in June. This season, he has participated in 39 matches in club competitions, scoring 20 goals and providing 20 assists.
