VIDEO: Prime Minister on Possible Owner of 1 Ton Cocaine
During a Q&A session in the National Assembly, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan addressed the topic of drugs, adding that he cannot violate anyone's presumption of innocence.
“This is a very extraordinary case. Today, I can present information because the National Security Service has made the first arrest in this case. The owner of the one ton of cocaine is a well-known company engaged in banana imports, and the owner is a former MP from the Republican Party of Armenia who is on the wanted list,” said the Prime Minister.
According to him, the illegal trafficking of drugs has reached significant proportions worldwide. “The Criminal Code defines the concept of ‘criminal group,’ but does not stipulate party affiliation,” he added.
