‘The Turk Remains a Turk’: Ruling Party MP
The newspaper ‘Iravunk’ reports that in reference to the ongoing border clashes and innocent casualties, Gagik Melkonyan, an MP from the ‘Civil Contract’ faction, expressed a similar opinion: ‘The Turk remains a Turk. For 30 years, this has been the same story. We have been at war every day, and we must understand that we are still at war; ceasefires are only temporary. With some encouragement from certain events, they attack our country's borders. They have allies; they have a ‘big brother,’ and we must place our hope in ourselves.’
