Kılıçdaroğlu Sues Erdoğan
The leader of the newly formed "Nation" opposition alliance and head of the Kemalist "Republican People's Party," Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, has filed a lawsuit against the current President Erdoğan demanding 1 million lira in damages. This was reported by Ermenihaber.am.
The lawsuit is related to remarks made by Erdoğan regarding a doctored video. A few days ago, during a live television broadcast, Erdoğan spoke about the aforementioned video, stating, "Kılıçdaroğlu has filmed videos with those in Qandil. But he claims it's edited, this is it, this is him..."
Later, the opposition force declared that the video was fake and released the real version, where Kılıçdaroğlu calls on citizens to vote for them alongside the mayors of Istanbul and Ankara.
Jelal Çelik, Kılıçdaroğlu's lawyer, stated that the money obtained after winning the lawsuit is intended to be directed towards providing scholarships for the children of martyrs.
