VIDEO. Unauthorized construction is inherently a bad phenomenon: Avinyan

Yerevan Deputy Mayor Tigran Avinyan announced at a council meeting that the idea of unauthorized constructions is "inherently a very bad thing."

According to him, the rights of people must be protected, but unauthorized construction is already a negative phenomenon on its own.

"We constantly talk about how to solve the problem, and we are undoubtedly going to find solutions. But we must also understand that a very bad phenomenon has occurred: community land has been usurped, and an illegal structure has been built on it. In many cases, these are people’s homes," Avinyan stated.
