Erdogan and Sinan Ogan Meet
Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has received Sinan Ogan, the candidate from the "ATA" alliance in the presidential elections on May 14, as reported by the Anadolu Agency. The meeting took place at the Dolmabahçe Palace in Istanbul. The negotiations were conducted behind closed doors for the media.
Other details have not been disclosed. Earlier, there were reports that Ogan is preparing to support Erdogan in the second round of the presidential elections in Turkey.
Ogan has previously been a member of the political wing of the extremist "Grey Wolves" grouping, the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), which is Erdogan's coalition partner and currently supports the incumbent president.
It is noteworthy that earlier, in response to a relevant question from a CNN TV host, Turkey's current president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, confirmed that if he wins in the second round of the presidential elections held on May 28, he will not change the country’s economic policy.
“Because I have seen the results when I was still Prime Minister. Thanks to the implementation of the same policy, I will see the results again. I know it,” he stated.
