Barack Obama Banned from Entering Russia
Former US President Barack Obama has been banned from entering the Russian Federation. According to the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' website, Russia has responded to sanctions by prohibiting the entry of 500 US citizens into the country.
“It is high time for Washington to understand that no hostile attacks against Russia will go unanswered. The principle of the inevitability of punishment will be consistently applied, regardless of whether it concerns pressure from tightened sanctions or discriminatory actions obstructing our compatriots' professional activities,” the statement said.
The ministry clarified that the “stop list” includes “significant” figures, current leaders at various levels of executive power, former officials, senators, and congressmen elected for the first time in the November elections, experts, and staff of “analytical” centers, as well as heads of companies from the military-industrial complex supplying weapons to the Kyiv regime.
