Armenian Foreign Ministry on Mirzoyan-Lavrov Meeting
On May 18, in Moscow, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held intergovernmental consultations focused on the information support for foreign policy activities and media relations, reports the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The Armenian side was represented by the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ani Badalyan and the head of the Mass Media and Public Diplomacy Department Inna Torgomyan, while the Russian side was represented by the official spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova. A detailed exchange of views took place on a wide range of issues concerning bilateral cooperation in the information domain. Special attention was given to the issue of countering the spread of false information. There was mutual interest expressed in further expanding communication and exchanges between the media of the two countries," the statement said.
