Demands for a Televised Debate with Samvel Babayan and Ruben Vardanyan

The former commander of the Artsakh Defense Army, Samvel Babayan, has led the "United Homeland" party in issuing a statement. Recently, in the context of the political life in Artsakh, and specifically during a press conference held on May 18 by the "Front for Security and Development of Artsakh" public movement, manipulative thoughts have been voiced, which prompted the "United Homeland" party to declare:

1. The political second force, the "United Homeland" party, has developed sectoral sustainable development programs and strategic approaches, which have been presented to the authorities of the Republic of Artsakh, including former State Minister Ruben Vardanyan. In other words, the leader of the Front, R. Vardanyan, is fully aware of the programmatic proposals of the "United Homeland" party and was obliged to discuss them in his official capacity, including in the government program. However, during his 111 days in office, R. Vardanyan has been notable solely as a media face, but not as a manager of the sectors assigned to him.
2. Representatives of the "United Homeland" party did not attend any discussions regarding the programs presented by the "Front for Security and Development of Artsakh." Instead, the parliamentary group was presented with a thick folder containing public opinion derived from sociological surveys conducted among various focus groups, which certainly contains rich material and can be taken into account in the preparatory phase of future programs.
3. The public gathering demanding the appointment of Samvel Babayan as state minister was "known" for its independence, total opposition, non-use of administrative resources, as well as the concentration of police and special forces, firefighter vehicles, and the placement of snipers, among others.

The "United Homeland" party appeals to the Artsakh Public Television and demands the organization of a televised debate with the participation of Samvel Babayan and Ruben Vardanyan, to publicize their views and programmatic provisions on overcoming the crisis in Artsakh.
