In 1991, the People of Artsakh Established Their Statehood on the Same Foundations as Azerbaijan and Armenia: Artsakh Foreign Ministry to Michel
On May 14, European Council President Charles Michel issued a statement for the media following a trilateral meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. Both the general content of the statement and its individual provisions indicate that the leadership of the European Union continues to ignore the legitimate rights and interests of the people of Artsakh, driven solely by its own geopolitical and short-term interests at the expense of the values of democracy and human rights proclaimed by the European Union.
This was stated in a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh, responding to the press briefing that followed the Pashinyan-Michel-Aliyev trilateral meeting in Brussels yesterday.
