Artsakh State Minister on Possible Resignation
Although the gathering was not convincing in terms of attendee numbers, the President of the Republic of Artsakh has stated that he is ready to discuss and listen to the proposals and plans of Samvel Babayan.
Following Samvel Babayan's gathering, various speculations regarding the internal political situation in Artsakh have resurfaced. It is noted that there are concerns in Artsakh that within ten days, State Minister Gurgen Nersisyan, who is a relative of Samvel Babayan, will be appointed as the Prosecutor General, while Samvel Babayan will be appointed as the State Minister.
ArmLur.am contacted the State Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, Gurgen Nersisyan, and offered him an opportunity to comment on the aforementioned claims. In response, the State Minister stated the following: 'I have no relationship or communication with Samvel Babayan; I have met him only once, and I have no familial ties to him, neither close nor distant. Such statements are clearly false. I occupy the position of State Minister of Artsakh and have no intention or purpose of moving elsewhere.'
'I have a rough idea of who spreads such news, but I will refrain from commenting. When certain circles shout for solidarity, unity, justice, and the salvation of the homeland by inciting internal divisions and spreading rumors, the Artsakh government is quietly working to alleviate the problems faced by the people of Artsakh and resolve numerous issues. Believe me, no matter how surprising it may seem, there are individuals and groups who are burdened by this work, particularly effective work, which is why tales are regularly spun.'
'Many have no idea what difficulties we have to overcome in this situation and what extensive work is being done to address the challenges we face. However, alongside all of this, when such actions are taken, one can only be disappointed by some.'
