I Have Decided to Take Steps Forward: The President of Artsakh Makes a Statement
“Today, I received from the President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh the statement from the participants of the gathering that took place at the Renaissance Square in Stepanakert.” Artsakh President Arayik Harutyunyan wrote on his Facebook page:
“In light of my obligations and powers under the Constitution of the Republic of Artsakh, out of respect for our citizens who participated in the gathering, and considering their right to be heard, I have decided to take steps forward. Therefore, I have proposed to the representatives of the gathering to start discussions and consultations starting tomorrow regarding the proposals and programs they have presented.
As before, I am ready to utilize each individual’s knowledge and experience for the benefit of our country's security, peace, and the welfare of our people. At the same time, I emphasize that especially in these crisis conditions, we must show restraint, prudence, and responsibility, guided solely by the interests of the Republic of Artsakh and our people.”
