No Decision on Artsakh Can Be Made Without the Participation of Its People, Says Ruben Vardanyan
“No decision regarding Artsakh can be made without the participation of its people and without taking into account the wishes of the Artsakh people,” stated public-political figure and former Prime Minister of the Republic of Artsakh Ruben Vardanyan during an online interview with representatives of leading Argentine media from Stepanakert.
“We are fighting for our right to live on our land, and unlike Azerbaijan, we have no intention of attacking anyone,” Vardanyan added.
In response to a question regarding the possibility of signing a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Vardanyan remarked, “I do not believe in a peace agreement if it is only on paper and does not reflect the realities on the ground. How can a real and long-lasting peace agreement be envisioned in a situation where one side thinks it can extract concessions from the other by all possible means due to a perceived right of victory? A situation where Azerbaijan continues to violate the trilateral agreement of November 9, 2020, and disregards all decisions from international bodies and courts,” Vardanyan emphasized.
