Pedestrian Fatality in Myasnikyan Street Accident
In Yerevan, a 34-year-old driver struck a man crossing the street in a prohibited area with his 'Opel.' The incident was reported by shamshyan.com.
The accident took place on April 30 at approximately 23:10, in front of house number 43/9 on Myasnikyan Street.
The driver, Harutyun M. from the Kotayk region, did not attempt to flee the scene and called for an ambulance. Medical personnel confirmed the pedestrian's death. At the scene, the driver's condition deteriorated, and the arriving medical team provided assistance, although he refused to be taken to the hospital. He underwent a sobriety test at the scene and was found to be sober.
A criminal case has been initiated in connection with this incident. Police and the investigative committee are conducting necessary operational and investigative joint actions to establish the identity of the deceased.
