Animal Protectors Visit Boy Who Abused Dog in Viral Video

Today, a group of animal protectors visited the boy involved in a controversial video where he was seen abusing a dog, aiming to understand the reasons behind such behavior.

Animal defenders Mari Ter-Antonyan, Gohar Manushakyan, Hrant Davoyan, and human rights advocate Marina Poghosyan reported that they spoke with both the boy and all family members.

“No one denied the incident. They agreed with our outrage. From our conversation with the boy, it became clear that there are certain circumstances contributing to his behavior,” they stated.

“Through discussions, we concluded that since the dog is still young, family members have been overly indulgent and, at the same time, have not enforced discipline at the right times, which has led to the dog’s inappropriate behavior (it is disobedient). We reached a consensus to definitely seek a specialist who will work with both the dog and its owners. In the near future, the dog will be sterilized, and we will remain vigilant.”
