Arthur Davtyan Becomes Double European Champion in Turkey
Arthur Davtyan won the gold medal at the European Championships held in Turkey. In the final of the men's vault event at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships, the reigning world champion dazzled with stellar jumps, achieving the highest score to also claim the title of European champion.
The world and European champion scored 15.033 points in the final. He had also advanced from the qualification round with the highest score of 15.066 points. The leading gymnast from Armenia executed both jumps excellently.
The European silver medalist was Jake Jarman from Great Britain with a score of 15.016, while the bronze medal was claimed by Ukraine's Ihor Radivilov with 14.750 points.
Arthur Davtyan had also become the European champion in 2021 in the parallel bars event. Under the guidance of coach Hakob Serobyan, the national team concluded the European Championship with three medals: 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze.
On the previous day, Vahagn Davtyan was crowned European silver medalist in the rings event for the second time. In the parallel bars, Arthur Davtyan secured the bronze medal.
