Azerbaijani Athletes Have Already Left Armenia: Giloyan

Azerbaijani athletes who came to participate in the European Weightlifting Championship have already left Armenia. This was reported to Auroranews by the Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Karen Giloyan.

"They are already out of Armenia," said Giloyan.

It is worth recalling that an incident occurred during the opening ceremony of the European Weightlifting Championship. Designer and stylist Aram Nikolyan unexpectedly ran onto the stage, grabbed the Azerbaijani flag from the hands of the female flag bearer, and burned it.

Following this incident, representatives from Azerbaijan announced that the athletes would return to Azerbaijan.
