Decision Made to Arrest Grigori Khachaturov
The Appellate Court has decided to arrest the former commander of the 3rd Army Corps, Major General Grigori Khachaturov, following the examination of a complaint filed by the prosecution. This was reported to Sputnik Armenia by the press secretary of the Court of Cassation, Lilit Shaboyan.
It is noteworthy that the First Instance Court had previously rejected the request for arrest, and the prosecution had appealed that decision to the Appellate Court. The Appellate Court annulled the decision of the First Instance Court and granted the prosecution's request.
Grigori Khachaturov's attorney, Hakob Yenokyan, mentioned in an interview with the media that they have not yet received the court's decision.
A spokesperson from the Office of the Prosecutor General noted in an interview with one media outlet that the arrest of Grigori Khachaturov will be implemented for a duration of two months.
