Video: There Will Always Be Patrol Officers, MPs, and Clergy Using 'Crystal' – Armen Khachatryan
"There will always be patrol officers using 'Crystal', there will be MPs, clergy, ministers, and even doctors. There will always be operatives fighting drug trafficking in the police. This has always been the case and continues to be," said Civil Contract MP Armen Khachatryan during a conversation with journalists in the National Assembly.
"The proportions just need to be minimized. Yes, such things shouldn't happen, but if we exclude today that the patrol officers are holy, we have educated them in such a way over five phases and passed them through such checks that they are all holy? No. But currently, there are more than 1000 patrol officers, and we shouldn't cast a shadow on those officers who serve with great dedication and integrity. The number of crimes discovered by patrol officers has increased significantly, and their visibility in service is very noticeable. The people are very satisfied with the patrol officers. There are many shortcomings, and they have certain problems in managing intersections. It is possible to continuously send them for retraining courses," he mentioned.
Khachatryan stated that over time, the patrol service will be optimized, and he also believes that the training duration for patrol officers should be increased to one year.
