Russian President Vladimir Putin is conducting negotiations with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the Kremlin, reports РИА Новости. According to the source, the Syrian leader arrived in Moscow on the evening of March 14.
During the meeting with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized that the relations between the two countries are increasingly developing. “Dear Mr. President, I am very pleased to see you in Moscow. Thank you for accepting our invitation. We are in constant contact, and our relations are developing,” said Putin.
It is expected that President Putin and President Assad will discuss relevant issues related to the further development of Russian-Syrian cooperation in political, trade, economic, and humanitarian areas, as well as prospects for a comprehensive resolution of the situation in Syria and its surroundings. The last time Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad met was in September 2021, when the Syrian president visited Moscow again.
