France's Senate Approves Controversial Bill to Raise Retirement Age
France's Senate approved a bill regarding pension reforms late Saturday evening with a vote of 195 in favor and 112 against, a measure that has sparked protests and strikes across the country.
The bill aims to raise the retirement age from 62 to 64 by 2030.
The latest protest against the pension reforms took place on March 11, with around 370,000 participants demonstrating their opposition.
