Russian Ambassador Visits Gegharkunik Province in Armenia
The Russian Ambassador to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, is on a working visit to the Gegharkunik Province. During his visit, he was briefed on the consequences of the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against border communities in Gegharkunik on September 13-14, 2022, as well as the current situation in those areas and the steps being taken to overcome the challenges.
Recently, we reported that the U.S. Ambassador to Armenia, Kristina Quinn, visited the starting point of the Lachin corridor, which has been closed for normal traffic for almost three months. Syunik Province Governor Robert Ghukasyan presented the implications of the blockade of the Lachin corridor to Ambassador Quinn and its impact on hundreds of fragmented families. Governor Ghukasyan also addressed the support provided by the state to those affected by the blockade.
