Erdogan Announces Election Campaign Will Be Conducted Without Music
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced today that he has decided to conduct the election campaign for the presidential and parliamentary elections without musical accompaniment, in respect for the victims of the earthquakes that occurred on February 6.
“We are banning all music prepared for the campaign. We will hold the campaign without music and will meet face to face,” Erdogan stated after signing a decree.
Earlier, it was reported that Erdogan signed a decree scheduling nationwide elections for May 14.
