Aliyev Responds to Tehran
“Nizami Ganjavi was born, lived, died, and was buried in his native city of Ganja, one of the oldest cities of Azerbaijan. His wisdom and talent symbolize the wisdom and talent of the Azerbaijani people,” said Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev during the opening ceremony of the 10th Global Forum in Baku.
It is noteworthy that earlier, during the opening ceremony of the “Nizami Ganjavi Week” in Tehran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanani stated that Ganja is an “Iranian city,” and Nizami is “the Persian nobility’s Iranian poet.”
Previously, it was reported that the X Global Baku Forum is being held in Baku, with 360 representatives from 61 countries participating, including presidents, prime ministers, speakers, and ministers. This information was reported by Azerbaijani media.
