The Number of Laboratory Confirmed Measles Cases in Armenia Reaches 18
As of 10:00 AM, the number of laboratory confirmed measles cases has reached 18, with 17 individuals hospitalized. Their health status is assessed as moderate. This information was provided by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.
“None of the hospitalized patients have been vaccinated against measles. It is worth noting that according to the national vaccination calendar, measles vaccinations are scheduled for children at 1 and 4-6 years of age. We urge parents of children who have not received planned vaccinations against measles to contact the registration polyclinic and vaccinate their children. At the same time, individuals who have been in contact with measles patients and who have not received two doses of the measles vaccine are also subject to vaccination,” the ministry's statement said.
