Macron to Visit China: The Reason Revealed

French President Emmanuel Macron has announced plans to visit China in the upcoming April. “In my opinion, the fact that China is joining efforts to ensure peace is a good thing,” Macron said, commenting on Beijing's peace initiative concerning Ukraine.

“I will travel to China in early April. China now needs to help us exert pressure on Russia, of course, to prevent the use of nuclear and chemical weapons, as well as to stop this aggression before negotiations begin,” stated the head of the Élysée Palace.

Recently, China published a 12-point plan for a political resolution to the Ukrainian crisis, calling on all parties to support Moscow and Kyiv in “moving towards each other” and to resume direct dialogue as soon as possible.
