Bayramov Discusses the Situation Surrounding the ‘Lachin Corridor’ with the ICRC
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Jeyhun Bayramov, held discussions today with Dragana Kozić, the head of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) representation in Azerbaijan, regarding the situation surrounding the Lachin corridor, as reported by Azerbaijan’s diplomatic service.
According to the statement, Minister Bayramov expressed satisfaction with the free movement of vehicles, including those of the ICRC, goods, and citizens through the Lachin corridor.
Once again, the Azerbaijani Foreign Minister declared that the Armenian side’s claims regarding the blockade of the Lachin corridor and the resulting humanitarian tension are unfounded.
On February 22, the International Court of Justice ordered Azerbaijan to open the Lachin corridor, which has been closed for more than two months, ensuring the free bilateral movement of people and transportation, as well as the immediate restoration of gas supplies.
