On February 19, 2023, at around 19:40, an incident occurred involving a «ՈՒԱԶ» vehicle of the RA N military unit, which rolled down a slope while ascending a watchtower. As a result, two contract servicemen lost their lives, and two conscripts sustained bodily injuries. A criminal case has been initiated in the ninth military investigative department of the RA Investigative Committee under Part 4 of Article 538 of the Criminal Code (violation of the rules for driving or operating combat, special, or transport vehicles, causing the death of two or more persons through negligence).

This information was reported by Gor Abrahamyan, the spokesperson for the Investigative Committee of Armenia, on his Facebook page. It has been noted that necessary and urgent investigative and procedural actions are being undertaken to clarify the circumstances of this tragic incident.
