Witness Testifies in Case of 15 Soldiers Who Died in Tragic Fire
Today, Lieutenant Yeghishe Hakobyan, the officer involved in the case concerning the deaths of 15 soldiers in a fire in the village of Azat, Gegharkunik province on January 19, provided testimony at the National Burn Center.
This was reported to Armenia Today by Hakobyan's lawyer, Hovsep Sargsyan. The lawyer noted that at this time, he cannot disclose any details as the investigation is still ongoing.
It is worth mentioning that Sargsyan earlier stated on Public TV that the charges against the officer are highly preliminary and it is essential to clearly establish the cause of the soldiers' deaths and the causal link regarding Yeghishe Hakobyan's actions or inactions in this case.
