Urgent Issues Discussed Under the Leadership of Ruben Vardanyan
On February 14, during a meeting of the Operations Headquarters led by Ruben Vardanyan, the State Minister of the Republic of Artsakh, several urgent issues were discussed. The situation regarding food products, medications, fuel, and infrastructure was presented.
Andranik Khachatryan, the director of Artsakhenergo, noted that due to the lack of gas supply and cold weather conditions, the energy system is unable to cope with the load, leading to increased accidents and the distribution network being in an extremely poor state. The State Minister instructed to present proposals regarding the situation, to discuss with all responsible agencies and to find the most effective solutions possible under the existing conditions.
The Minister of Social Development and Migration, Armen Mangasaryan, reported on the progress of social measures aimed at mitigating the consequences of the blockade, informing that the process of submitting applications from beneficiaries has begun. The State Minister instructed to ensure proper public awareness regarding the assistance measures so that all beneficiaries can receive the intended compensations in a timely manner.
Mangasaryan also informed that the distribution of certain charitable cargo that has arrived in Artsakh is ongoing. Food products received through charitable means are provided exclusively free of charge to socially vulnerable groups. State Minister Ruben Vardanyan emphasized the importance of conducting this process as transparently as possible, noting that it should be clear and understandable to both the organizations sending the cargo and the public. According to him, the population should be appropriately informed about who is receiving the charitable cargo and on what basis, in order to avoid various types of misinformation and exploitation.
The meeting also addressed the issue of price control. It was reported that a special procedure for the circulation of goods, including the formation and control of retail prices, has been established, which assigns the State Revenue Committee, the Committee for the Management of State Inspections, and the State Commission for Regulating Public Services and Economic Competition, as well as the administrations in the regions, the functions of price control. The State Minister instructed the responsible bodies to continue monitoring and studying pricing mechanisms, as well as to analyze the possible causes of inflationary manifestations.
