Mass Brawl in Turkey Between Russian and Ukrainian Football Players
A mass brawl occurred on the evening of February 13 at the Turkish Royal Seginus Hotel, involving players from the Ukrainian club Minai and Yaroslavl's Shinnik.
According to the Baza Telegram channel, several representatives from the Ukrainian club approached the head of the Yaroslavl team and demanded that he sing the Ukrainian national anthem. He proposed to step outside to resolve the issues.
The hotel staff intervened in the conflict, quickly calming the situation. However, later, several Ukrainian players found themselves in the same elevator as a Russian football player, where they assaulted him.
When the elevator reached its destination, they were met by a group of Yaroslavl footballers, and a massive brawl ensued. Police and ambulances were called to the scene.
After the incident, police and additional security personnel have been stationed at the building. The hotel confirmed the reports of the brawl but stated that everything is calm at the moment.
