Closure of the Lachin Corridor Cannot Be an Obstacle for Armenia in Tri-National Meeting, Says MP
Sargis Khandanyan reminded that the Russian side had previously announced its intention to organize a meeting at the level of foreign ministers.
The closure of the Lachin Corridor cannot be an obstacle for Armenia to participate in a tri-national meeting among the foreign ministers of Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Russia, stated Sargis Khandanyan, the chairman of the National Assembly's Foreign Relations Committee and a member of the 'Civil Contract' faction, during a press briefing today.
"Armenia does not have such a precondition," he emphasized.
According to him, the participation of Armenia's Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in that meeting will depend on the situation.
It should be noted that at the end of December 2022, Armenia refused to participate in a meeting of the foreign ministers of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan due to the situation surrounding the Lachin Corridor.
