Snowfalls in Some Regions; Several Roads Closed
There are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads in the territory of Armenia. The Emergency Situations Service informs that there are closed and difficult-to-navigate roads across the country.
The roads from the "Amberd" high-altitude meteorological station in Aragatsotn Province to Amberd Fortress and Kar Lake are closed.
The Vardenyats Pass is closed for trucks with trailers and is difficult to navigate for other types of vehicles. The turns near Spitak are difficult for freight vehicles. In the roads of Aragatsotn Province, there are patches of black ice.
Snow is falling in Shirak, Tavush provinces, as well as in the cities of Aparan, Talin, Ashtarak, Hrazdan, Charentsavan, Spitak, Stepanavan, Vanadzor, Masis, Artashat, Kajaran, and in the regions of Sisian, particularly in areas known as "Zanger" and "Meghru Sar," as well as in the Baghramyan region.
There is fog at the Vardenyats Pass.
Regarding Lars, according to information from the Georgian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the crisis management center of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations in North Ossetia, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is closed for all types of vehicles.
Drivers are advised to travel exclusively with winter tires.
